Malawi lies along the west bank of Lake Malawi. Employment is in agriculture, mainly tea and cotton. Formerly Nyasaland, it gained independence in 1966.

CBM activities There are usually two Bible Schools a year, one being a Youth Bible School. There is a CBM centre and campus at Chinamwali, Zomba. Brothers from Malawi still undertake some preaching activities in Mozambique.
